Three brothers here, all Vietnam-era veterans; [View all]

two Air Force; one Army. One AF bother (me) flew a desk; other AF brother flew box wrenches and screwdrivers in a maintenance hangar; Army brother was a combat infantryman who refers to himself as a "grunt."

Army brother crystalized all 3 of our responses to JD Vance's scurrilous attacks on Tim Walz's and Barry McCaffrey's military service, when Army brother said: "I wouldn't want to go on patrol with JD Vance or someone like him in the squad. I couldn't trust him to have my back."
