Conviction was in NY and FL law defers to the state where crime committed/conviction occurred.

In this case NY. NY law is pretty lenient and does not take voting rights away UNTIL (and IF) incarcerated. Trump has not been sentenced yet and if he does not face ANY jail time, then his right to vote may never be taken away--at least from the standpoint of the NYC fraud trial.

This has been misinterpreted by several media outlets, but both Glenn Kirschner and several other lawyers well versed in BOTH Florida and NY law reported on this yesterday.
