Not every human interaction is in furtherance of an evil plot of subversion. If you're paying attention, you will notice that all of them are pretty giddy and joyous acting on MSNBC these past few days. They're joking with each other and laughing through their shows this week. And they're praising our convention like crazy. They're infected with the happy just like we are.
Joe hasn't been a republican for years. He's not a Democrat, but he's definitely not one of them. He was teasing and joking with a longtime friend. No ulterior motive.
