I think its similar across the country. In general cops hate these gun laws. And why wouldn't they. They have to interact with people carrying guns in far more volatile situations than most of us do. I know it would make me more nervous if I was a cop knowing every person I approach could be packing anything from a Saturday Night Special to an AR-15. Some cops do bad shit but they are overwhelmingly on our side when it comes to these gun laws

It's politicians using fear and prejudice for their own personal gain that are getting these insane laws passed. I couldn't agree with you more but let's lay more of the blame at the feet of those truly responsible, power hungry greedy repuke politicians, the NRA and most importantly the gun industry who gets off way to easy rather than the majority of good cops who are out there trying to protect us in an evermore dangerous jungle not of their making. IMHO.
