2. Trump: U.S. 'Will Withdraw' From Iran Nuclear Deal (2018)

Trump did two things that put us on the course we are today: (1) Trump endorsed Netenyahu's bid to aggressively expand settlements in Gaza by pushing out Palestinians to make way for Israeli settlers and (2) Trump withdrew from the Iran nuclear deal over the objections of US allies and at the behest Netanyahu, which again isolated and limited the influence of the US, and eliminated any leverage the US had with respect to Iran.

Today, Netanyahu is trying to provoke a war as a way to try to help Trump in the hopes that Trump will once again support Israeli expansionism perhaps with Trump and his family getting a cut of real estate deals. The fear for Netanyahu is that if Harris wins, she will be even less inclined to support Israel given how Netanyahu continues to try to meddle in US politics.

President Trump announced Tuesday that he has decided to exit a 2015 multinational agreement in which Iran agreed to limit its production of nuclear weapons material.

"I am announcing today that the United States will withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal," Trump said.

He said the U.S. will reimpose economic sanctions that were lifted as part of the U.S. commitments made in the deal.

The U.S. has been repeatedly waiving sanctions that curtail Iran's oil sales, but those sanctions waivers faced a Saturday deadline, prompting Trump's move Tuesday.
