I think they must be lifelong Republicans who will not vote for the traitor, the felon, the rapist that their party has nominated, but can't quite bring themselves to vote for a Democrat.

Or maybe some of them are wives who want to be able to honestly tell their domineering MAGA husbands, "Yes dear, of course I voted for Republicans only".
