110. We are in California, too,

and we are damn glad we are here. Did you see Newsom's statement today? It was strong. He and our state assembly and others stand between us and Trump. I feel more protected and insulated here than I would in many other places in this country where I've lived in the past.

When I am feeling truly afraid, I like to remember this quote from Frank Herbert's Dune and it comforts me.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
