OpenAI's Sam Altman to Elon Musk: just one more mean tweet and then maybe you'll love yourself... [View all]
This was after Elon spent much of the night attacking Sam and reposting his followers attacking Sam, after Sam tweeted about his admiration for Trump: https://www.democraticunderground.com/100219935907
I've been expecting Trump's coalition to fall apart, with the egos involved. I wasn't at all surprised that Vivek Ramaswamy didn't last long as Elon's Trump-appointed partner in charge of DOGE, a position Musk had clearly wanted for himself alone.
And with the AI bros jockeying to be Trump's best tech buddy as well as controller of the one AI to rule them all, I expected some friction between Elon and Sam, who've been rivals for years. But I didn't expect to see it playing out on Twitter with so much mean girl mean tech bro energy.
