They start with the service academies because they are most vulnerable, but pretty much every college and university in the United States is dependent to some degree on federal support. They will test this in the fully owned and operated universities like the USNA and West Point, then fan out to apply specific curricular change in every university. And what will the university presidents and provosts do? They will do what they're told, and recalcitrant faculty will get the shitcan. They're talking brave now, but will change their tunes when the axes start falling. Many of the decision-makers (tenured faculty, admin types) have never experienced unemployment and are not about to start now, either approaching retirement or with their own kids in college.
