You can sign up to receive free E-mails and SMS/Texting that will let you know when popular socialsecurity.gov web pages have been updated.
How to Subscribe
A number of pages throughout socialsecurity.gov feature a link that looks like this:
Get Updates
Clicking on that link will allow you to subscribe to updates for that particular page. If you click on the link above you will be provided with a list of the available subscription pages. Some pages allow you to sign up for updates via SMS/Texting messages. By entering your cell phone number, you agree to receive automated text messages from the Social Security Administration when the information on the page you subscribed to is updated. Your carriers standard message and data rates apply.
You may select how often you wish to be notified (immediately, daily, weekly, or monthly). Please note that the topic you select may not be updated that frequently, depending on the topic.
How to Change or Cancel Your Subscription
Visit the subscription page to change or cancel your subscription at any time, or to update your subscriber profile. This option is also offered to you in all of the e-mail updates you receive.
