I do understand the fear of some, who in hindsight, perhaps react too fast to any sort of negative news (really should be called vague rumors) regarding Social Security. They are afraid, and are expressing their fears, but unfortunately, their unfounded fears are doing no good to anyone. I have faith. Too many of us have paid into Social Security for multiple decades, and for them to yank them away after multiple decades under different administrations, makes doing something seriously disruptive, unlikely.

Stay the course. Maintain your composure. Read any news on social security w/ a grain of salt. We earned these benefits. For any entity to yank these benefits away would result in a tsunami of lawsuits, and judges hopefully would stop any such unilateral actions on those who would do so much harm to us by stopping, modifying, yanking away our benefits that we all earned over many decades of work.
