To which I could say:
"Some people just naturally want to get as many people pacified as they can. That makes them feel more important. Don't be taken in by centrists trying to lull you into complacency."
But of course I won't.
Some are worried about the alarmists. Others are more worried about complacency. There is some validity to the opinions from both camps. You made a valuable contribution to the discussion on this issue until the paragraph that I cited.
Most of the people sounding the alarm about the Trump phenomenon have been right most of the time. There are far more people in denial tha there are in a panic.
