(52 posts)I don't like what's going on either but I'm not going to let Trump ruin my day!
1)Monday 3rd my wife was setting up her online login account and we weren't sure we did it right to get the letter with the code to finish the process. I forget what the code is actually called but it comes in the mail, and we do not receive USPS mail at our physical address. All business is sent to a Po Box. That is how we get our correspondence/tax/credit cards whatever.
Sooooooo...we called SSA and left a call back number. Recording said about 90 min wait. Around 90 or so minutes, got the call and the person was very help full and helped us out.
I know things are a mess but some of the horror stories from people doesn't help anyone. I have more trouble getting answers from my bank on the phone.
Yes, my wife and I are rattled too but looking for bad all the time isn't good for digestion. Brain or stomach.
The 2+ minute articles I read from various sources explaining the drama of what is going on with SSA most times leads to a back door looky what we have investments that are so much better than SSA.
We received our direct deposits as usual Sunday set up that they have in FEB with the usual pending by my bank until the second Wednesday date comes up.
We shall see what March brings.
2) what the R's have been trying to do to Social Security is nothing new. The Ponzi talk is same old same old.
I can remember the smooth talk by Sympson and Bowls (can't remember spelling) and Paul Ryan and his hypocrisy.
Hang tough and vote...........
