174. What the fuck are you talking about? Newsom did great in that podcast with Bannon.

Did you listen to the whole thing? It was not painful at all to listen to. I listened to every minute of it. It was fascinating. Newsom got Bannon to repeatedly admit we need to tax the rich. Newsom then pointed out that is what California does. Bannon tried to get in a dig by saying California is one of the highest taxed states but Newsom corrected him that it does not have high taxes for working people, just the rich. Bannon had no comeback to that. As expected, Bannon bashed silicon valley tech bros, including Musk.

Bannon said DOGE needs to be transparent and needs to show waste, fraud and abuse, acknowledging that has not happened yet.

And what I found particularly amazing was he had Bannon singing the praises of Lina Khan, the Commissioner of the United States Federal Trade Commission under Biden, and how she went after corporations. Bannon praised the working class economic populism of Sherrod Brown, Ro Khana and John Fetterman as well. Bannon was quite congenial and closed the show by saying it was an "honor" to be on Newsom's show.

I am sure a lot of right wingers were really disappointed in Bannon's performance.
