I'm in deep red east Tennessee, where people think that the "J" in "Donald J Trump" might just be "Jesus," and where Fox News is for the left-leaning moderates and true Murkans watch Newsmax.

Our Democratic Party is absolutely demoralized, too. I'm going to see how I can get involved. I know I've had some good ideas and they get nowhere because I have no connections and no way to get them out. I'm going to start forging them.

Someone up above had it absolutely right about the media machine. We're literally 3 decades behind the Fox machine. They ran their network at a huge loss to get market penetration and into businesses. They studied casinos for all the flashing lights and bells that get and hold peoples' attention, and then they locked into their message and the surrounding lies and have been unwavering ever since. Unless the Democratic Party fights and pins the blame on the upcoming apocalypse squarely on the GOP and its right wing media machine, we will continue to be screwed.
