Autocratic describes a way of ruling, but not in a nice way. An autocratic leader is one who rules with an iron fist; in other words — someone with the behavior of a dictator. Autocratic rulers don't tend to be popular. They use fear and control to gain total power over their people.

People are using other words though, and they did that in the campaign too. Dictator and so on. One problem is, I don’t think many would care even if they knew what those words mean or they wouldn’t believe it or think it’s good etc. They voted for this. Most can understand dictator, nazi, billionaire crooks etc. and fascist. Also for kleptocracy, a simpler word could be government by crooks or rule by thieves etc.
