(12,770 posts)I posted this not because I think he's a great candidate; I don't---but because I think there's a lot of truth in what he (and David Hogg) are saying. Too often our congresscritters and senators get comfortable in a seat and stay there forever just because---and the voters get used to voting for them for the same reason. Then the party committees (BOTH parties, not just ours) funnel all the money to them because they figure they can win, and a younger candidate with better ideas has to scramble for every penny to even get on the ballot.
So while this guy may be the wrong candidate running against the wrong (for now) incumbent, my point still stands. There are too many old, entrenched incumbents with old ideas in office (both parties) who really should be replaced, but the party committees, or PTB, whatever you want to call them, frankly will not allow it. Their money and support will always go to the incumbents.
