I meant to change it before I posted and got distracted. It was the 1979 select committee on Assassinations that specifically reviewed the investigations on the Kennedy and King assassinations.
That said, you made a pretty sweeping dismissal of a ton of information. Most of it that did not necessarily come from their report. Oswald was exactly who he said he was, a patsy. While it's more likely than not that there was indeed a conspiracy, time and distance make it nearly impossible to figure that out unless there is some still classified information that would put more of the pieces together.
