3. Taking this at face value (which I'm otherwise not doing, because it's Trump), this *would* explain a lot.

"HOW DARE YOU SAY THAT ABOUT HIM!!!!"

Fred Trump Sr. was in fact a real son of a bitch who probably contributed to his son's fucked-upedness far beyond what we will ever know, so I can't say that exchange would be completely out of the realm of belief.

After all, the fact that Fred Jr. wanted to be an airline pilot instead of a real estate businessman was something that Fred Sr. never forgave him for, and caused Fred Jr. (Mary's dad) to drink himself to an early grave.
