It is the basis of all science, and investigative processes.

You look at the data and make hypotheses, which are then tested out, more data is gathered.

Every single modern invention and progress is based on speculation based on data.

Without it we would still be in huts cooking over open fires.

I just don't understand why the scientific method is not taught in high school and college.

People here freak out when someone speculates based on data.
I just don't understand why. It is called SCIENCE.
