Trump lost the narrative today. We are turning it around.nt [View all]

Usually, we democrats always struggle to get our message out given that the media prefers amplifying nonsense coming out of the white house and RW propaganda. This time, however, Trump's attempt to seize the day with his parade completely fizzled.

The headlines are mostly focusing on the Minnesota assassinations and the no king protests. Just a few minutes on Trump's parade which was lackluster.

Interestingly enough, Trump delivered a milquetoast subdued speech instead of politicizing it. I wonder if that was his way to save face after all the pushback he had gotten in the past few days, even from republicans about this parade. Since he could not really back out of it, he ended up going through the motions.

The few shots that I saw of it, Trump looks bored and upset, standing there. There is a shot where he is saluting and Hegseth is smiling broadly with a drunken expression. I would not be surprised if he had hit the bottle a bit.
