'Deeply Impulsive': Ex-Trump Official Spills On How White House Staffers Feel About President [View all]

An ex-Homeland Security official who notably wrote an “anonymous” op-ed against President Donald Trump’s first term has revealed that a number of White House staffers aren’t convinced the president is fit to serve in the Oval Office.

Miles Taylor — part of the “resistance” against Trump 1.0 before joining 130-plus ex-GOP national security officials who ripped his ability to serve again — referred to unnamed friends laying “very, very low” in the White House who “share some of the same concerns” he had about the president during his first term.

“The man is still the same man, but worse and emboldened,” he said as a guest on MeidasTouch Network’s “The Court of History” podcast on Monday. “Still deeply impulsive, but impulsive without checks and balances around him.”

He added that those around the president aren’t “trying to talk him out of doing bad things” but instead are “demonstrating fealty at every turn to the leader” — resulting in a variety of poor decisions.
