THAT is the most obvious and simple reason why Trump is impulsive -- he doesn't even bother to read his daily briefings, and thinks he already knows more than the experts.

He gets his notion of things from Faux News and whoever has his ear at the moment. To the extent he calculates consequences, his own personal benefit within the narrow scope of his understanding always comes first.
