For example, Texas governor Abbott, is in a wheelchair following an accident where he sued and received a lump sum payment plus payments for life.

As governor, he passed tort reform so so others wouldn’t have the same opportunity.

“I’ve got mine, to hell with you,” really does sum up the basic Republican philosophy/pathology.
