Only half kidding. Just today, I described a mechanism to a summer intern using the word ‘hinge.’ I had to play charades with this guy to explain what it meant. I only barely contained my bewilderment at just how little some folks know about the actual, physical world we inhabit. I don’t see AI helping whatsoever in that regard, and I see lots of ways that it can turn us into mental weaklings.
