That's not the first time I've cried during the National Anthem. I was sent to Germany for 2.5 years, back in 1992, I arrived on New Year's Day. In July, 1992, the Olympics that year was in Barcelona, Spain. I hadn't heard our National Anthem in 7 months. When watching a gold medal ceremony, an event won by an American (Sorry I don't remember the event or the medalist), my emotions took over and I couldn't stop crying.
The 11th Hour w/Stephanie Ruhle has a Friday Nightcap with a round table of guests, discussing the events of the week.
At the end, each guest picks an MVP of the week and why.
Last Monday, I sent a Tweet & a BlueSky message to Stephanie Ruhle for my MVP of the week. I choose Nezza, for singing this rendition & the Dodgers for allowing her to sing the our National Anthem in Spanish. (Yes I knew that the Dodgers had told her to sing in English, but they didn't turn off the 🎤.)
Last night Stephanie Ruhle's MVP was Nezza. I'd like to think she took my cue, from my message. Here is that announcement. (I hope you can view it).

To finish this, I would like to say that I now carry my Passport Card everywhere I go.
I never used to carry this, unless I needed it crossing into Mexico &.Canada.
With all the racial profiling that ICE is doing, rounding up anyone that's brown or looks different than northern European, there is no "Land of the Free".
Going to Home Depot or 7-Eleven & rounding up all brown people regardless of citizenship, should be a warning to everyone. Just speaking & criticizing publicly, against this administration, while exercising your right to "Freedom of Speech", might invite a visit from the masked ICEtapol goons.
How free does that make you feel?
