21. My MAGA family

I was at a funeral recently surrounded by my MAGA family when I realized

1) they don’t read - anything;

2) most have never been to college and sincerely believe they don’t need higher education to succeed;

3) they are small business owners;

4) they’ve only been to Colorado and Orlando - most have never been more than 25 miles from their hometowns;

5) their news comes exclusively from Fox;

6) they are 100% white;

7) they see the country headed in the wrong direction on issues like abortion, transgender rights, and more.

8) they will never vote for a woman or a person of color;

9) they believe some folks are just lazy. They believe in working hard. They believe hunger is a great motivator. They believe poverty is a personal moral failure.

10) they want a strong white man to protect them from apocolyptic zombies, the Illuminati, chemtrails, the Trilateral Commision, and eagerly await the Second Coming.

11) they believe the Bible is without error, the earth is 6,000 years old, and they are convinced they (and only their religions) will be raptured - don’t ask.🙄

That’s who they are and that’s why they vote against their own self interests.

I have no idea how to reach them. I fear Trump and the Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 will bring them to their knees.
