(6,546 posts)It makes zero sense for anyone to claim two opposing things at the same time. If the party has gotten "exponentially" stronger because of some miracle candidate, then we're stronger... not weaker. But... if we're weaker, as is ALSO claimed, then how does that fit in with the previous claim? Both things can't be true at the same time. This is not the Schrodinger Party, is it?
One for one substitutions will NOT put the Democrats in control. If we do not have the majority, then it doesn't matter how "PERFECT" our elected leaders are... without having the majority, the GOP still controls everything. His "plan" is poorly thought out.
Over the years, I remember hearing people say many times for various candidates "that they have to EARN someone's vote" or they have to EARN someone's endorsement and that people should vote FOR something rather than "against" something. I wonder if this applies to the others you mentioned who have disappointed you. I cannot speak to what they are thinking or what their reasoning may be (although I have some theories) however, I must say, it sounds like a double-standard for a privilege that many Democratic voters claim for themselves but are not willing to extend to others.
