The second sin was the assumption that only certain white Europeans had rights, and that people of color were non-humans who existed for no other reason than to serve them and labor on their behalf without compensation.
These sins have poisoned the thinking and beliefs of far too many people of white European descent up to the present day.
I do believe this nation's karmic debt cannot be resolved until there is a massive change in our collective consciousness, a vast admission of responsibility and guilt, and an ongoing effort to make amends to the greatest extent possible.
I view this matter as a descendant of an indigenous people (Estonians) who were dispossessed of their lands and subjected to 700 years of serfdom and slavery by foreigners (Germans, Russians, Danes and Swedes) under the auspices of Christianity.
