Withholding funds from the Education Department is part of the Plan to assuage the donors, the theocrats, the Project 2025 people for whom education is the enemy unless controlled and contorted into a propaganda tool to shape the public into loyal subjects. It's also a revenue stream. Kill public education and allow only charter/voucher schools run by the rich, the feckless, the ideologically pure.

Ignorance is freedom.

We can thin out the herd while we're at it. No more special programs or curriculum for the disabled, the special needs, etc.

Only the strong and willing survive. Only the strong and willing are productive.

This goes beyond being a prick. This is all about power and control.

Dystopia here we come!
