I hope somebody can help me out of this. I feel absolutely HEARTSICK. [View all]

Looking at what’s happened, how Trump seems to have triumphed - or just scared the faint-hearted into silence for fear of reprisals from not just Trump but his hardcore fans.

I’m in my early 70s. I’ve lived through Nixon, Reagan, both Bushes, and the first trump administration. Somehow things didn’t feel quite as awful or near-hopeless as they do now. But they DEFINITELY feel not only bad now, but deeply bad, and maybe even unsurvivable now.

Can anybody here help me with some wisdom, or perspective, or consolation now?

And if too many folks here feel as down as I do, BOY can I understand, sympathize, and even empathize with you. And I can wait if anybody needs me to.

Just feeling REALLY down today.
