More to the point though, how to make everyone in America realize that, and do something about it?

I could ramble on about delusional voters, people voting for and still supporting Trump because they have a feeling of being restricted by the rules of normality and thinking Trump will remove those restrictions any day now, the cognitive dissonance that most must be feeling, but that doesn't answer the question.
