Donnie simply has to not cancel the midterms and claim democrats are lying alarmists and he ends up somehow looking reasonable.

Besides, dictators actually don't often cancel elections. They like the illusion they have broad support from the people. They just find ways to rig it.

I don't think Donnie can get away with overt election theft like banning democrats or falsifying votes. But republicans can step up familiar forms of voter suppression and propaganda, and the dark money will gush in like crazy.

Remember, now he can even extort the media into favorable coverage, cbs is giving him free ads to settle a fake lawsuit, etc.

We will have an election. Not a fair one, but it will be an election of sorts.
