47. THE STATES run the elections, NOT the President... He has no legal jurisdiction there.

Yes, he COULD make up a fictional 'national emergency' to call for the postponement of elections,
but each state independently would have to take legislative action and likely change their state constitutions
to prevent elections from taking place as scheduled in their states...

Some red states might do such a thing, if Trump called for it--- their pro-Trump governments are that craven--
but likely all the blue states would refuse. Trump could try to send troops to prevent elections,
but he doesn't have enough troops to stop elections in thousands of counties nationwide,
and any attempt to do so would immediately initiate CIVIL WAR!

On the other hand he could start a nuclear war, which would be the end of EVERYTHING,
including elections--- and with all the major cities in the US being likely targets,
there wouldn't be too many Democrats left to vote anyway....
