...I suspect they are attempting to intimidate reasonable thinkers away from publicly challenging their pro-fossil fuel claims that any clean energy source other than nuclear are physical impossibilities, despite the obvious fact that clean energy technologies of ALL kinds are our only hope to stop CO2 emissions.

I get the riff on the windmills, but it isn't silly to expect that some marine impact studies would be done...

The opposite is likewise true: the oil/gas industry (esp TX) is increasingly reliant on wind/solar for oil field pumps.
