will be used against him by the GOP. Even among Democrats, there are a lot of people sadly that won't support someone who is LGBTQ+ for president.
This country still is very anti-LGBTQ, misogynistic, and racist. I am very sad about these things.
Beshear would be my choice. Young, progressive, shown he can win in a very red state. I think he would win in a general election.
We cannot just go for our "perfect candidate", Beshear is probably as close as we can get to one.

I LOVE Whitehouse, but unfortunately he's too old. No chance we nominate a septuagenarian who turns 80 in a 2nd term.
