He has a real fear of this coming out. This behavior is universally despised. Not too many people would think it's okay. Even cult members with direct contact with some bum usually back off with this subject.

Even if they approved of all the cruelty involved with the immigration crack down, it would be hard for anyone with a daughter to approve of the rape of a child. If this were shown to be true, his support will wither and die.

I wonder who else is in there? Truly awful.
