7. How will we know what it's worth? It's always boggled me that

bitcoin is supposed to be independent, yet is always measured against the dollar. It seems more like buying stock in a black hole. Though, I'll admit, it's probably my lack of interest in bitcoin that fuels my lack of understanding how it works.
