I just hope in his case it's brought on by the pressure of a greatly enlarged kidney due to an infected kidney stone.

Oh, I had a kidney stone too. Likewise hurts.

Infected kidney stone has been rated "most painful condition" by medical experts, possibly more painful than childbirth, according to some women who have experienced both. Two varieties: infection causes stone to form, or blockage by stone leads to infection. Turnip can try them both out. High risk of sepsis either way.
