1. I've barely driven in two weeks and hadn't filled in three (have a Prius) so I had no clue what gas prices were

I was pleasantly surprised: $2.79 in Colorado northern front range... Along I-25, higher, but we've not yet been hit it would appear. Still, we have all the summer anti-Ozone additives that should be costing us more.

So, hard to know what to expect. The grocery store is bad enough... Sigh.
