Reporting from the Pittsburgh ABC News affiliate WTAE.
CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa.
Federal agents stormed two Emiliano's Mexican Restaurant and Bar locations in the Pittsburgh area on Thursday, according to the restaurant.
Federal agents confirmed 16 people were detained between the restaurant's Cranberry Township and Gibsonia locations.
"During the execution of the search warrants, 16 individuals were encountered and found to be illegally present in the United States. These 16 individuals were taken into ICE custody and placed into immigration proceedings," a statement from ICE said.
Witnesses told Pittsburgh's Action News 4 the officers on scene would only identify themselves as police.
