27. My sister-in-law gives so generously that she had to change her phone number.

My friend Ernie is a similarly generous donor, and his friends now find him unreachable by text or email. He doesn't have the time or patience to search through the solicitations to find the messages from his friends that are like needles in the proverbial haystack.

Alas, it's true: no good deed goes unpunished.
