But I was confusing him with William Safire. I can’t say I liked that archetype: Safire, Will, Buckley.

But they were definitely better than their ideological descendants i.e. Jordan Petersen, Eric Weinstein etc.

I used to dislike Bill Kristol during the Iraq War, but even he has jumped ship. The Bulwark is never Trumpy. Good for them.
