16. After studying climate change over 20 years, I decided

Yesterday

we would not stop it, even if some of us tried. I will continue to consume less.
When Bush, with the help of the Brooks Brother brigade, shut down the vote in 2000, I knew we would descend into fascism.
We are now in predicament. The rich know it too. They have the benefit of money and will ride out the coming calamities with more ease than we. They will not blame themselves because that would cause them mental anguish.
We cannot fix nor prevent what is coming. All we can do is manage as best we can.
Wish it wasn't so, but I have not figured a way to get people to give up their sense of individual privilege. That is the fallacy of the Enlightenment. While individuals, given opportunity, can achieve greatness, can they stop to consider the damage they leave behind?
Consider yourself lucky; to have enjoyed getting this far and enjoy what you can in the time you have left.
Your sense of humor has made me enjoy a bit of my time.
