(62,325 posts)was obvious. as was Obama's silence even after the near killing of two Iraq Veterans and an appeal from the UN rappatteur to intervene to stop the brutal assaults on peaceful protestors.
Maybe we were fooled, it sure feels that way. We get a Cabinet filled with Republicans while Bush people are left in place. 'Vote for Democrats'? We did and we got Republicans in powerful positions that we intended to go to Democrats.
And not a peep out of the leadership of the party either. Summers?? Unbelievable if they bring him back.
The good news is that people are finally waking up. And I know I will never support someone again just because they have a 'D' after their name. More people should run as Independents so if they win they are not under the thumb of either party.
And now the Bush rehabilitation. Does he really think anyone is going to change their mind about Bush just because he and Clinton have become like 'part of the Bush family'?
I'm a Democrat, I don't like Republicans. But Obama seems to be very fond of them all the way to the top.
