I think Karl helped to promote the invasion of Iraq for political reasons, like. "I need a WAR PRESIDENT"
Then when no WMDs were found and Saddam was still on the loose and the war in Iraq dragged on and on, I believe it was Karl's idea to torture prisoners in order to catch Saddam and save Bush's political ass, in time for the 2004 election campaign.
As soon as I saw Blackwell's name on the Council on Foreign Relations web page, I became very suspicious of the behind curtain power and pull the man might have.
All the way back to the demise of John Clifford "Cliff" Baxter of ENRON fame, I figured the Whack Job was another political tool of the Texas Taliban/GOP and friends and benefactors.
