After the experiment has utterly failed, there are still those that cling to "trickle down" as economic gospel. They tend to fall in to two groups.

Those that accumulate great wealth.

Those in political coalition with people of great wealth, that are either uneducated to the point of unknowingly damaging their own economic self interest, or believe so strongly in a single issue, they will tolerate the economic harm of Freidman economics.
