With both that and the worsening social and economic inequality in the US, the current "top dogs" see trouble on the horizon. But they think there must be a few more years of profit and greed before the you-know-what hits the fan. They aspire to maximize short run profits and income and turn those into mansions, yachts and jets before "reality" strikes.

It is sad that a cataclysm (like in 1929) has to strike before "reality" is dealt with. Of course, no one knows what the swift but gradual cataclysm ("reality&quot resulting from climate change will eventually be.
