ARE more Guns the Answer to Gun Violence in This country? [View all]

A certain DUer has told me that the answer to Gun Violence is more guns. I told him Most of DU would say no. I am betting that I am right. So, once and for all.. Please prove to me, that while I have my finger in the wind, its going in the correct direction!



Edited: to add the quote:
"The latest gun stats in our country show that there has been a very large increase in the purchase of firearms during the Obama presidency and that during that same period of time violent crime has gone down. So according to those stats more guns mean less violent crime."
