http://bluntandcranky.wordpress.com/2014/03/02/for-the-putin-arse-kissers-among-us/"He is a despicable mass murderer, warmongering, profiteering, homophobic serial invader of sovereign nations, and by all rights should be doing time in a UN prison. Without possibility of parole.
Putin can aid and abet a wanker who fancied himself a tech wiz and become a darling of libertarians on the left and right, and that may charm them into thinking he is a good guy, but the reality is quite different. One calculated act of maskirova does not outweigh the brutal repression , invasions, and perversions of justice for his own benefit. And that isnt even including the crimes against humanity committed during his KGB days.
A question to any and all Putinistas, Putin apologists , Putin fans, and suchlike: how in the f***ing f*** can you do it? In the face of these atrocities, how can you give aid and comfort to such a monster?
And what does your support for a demon make you? Just a gullible idiot? Or a monster yourself? "

On update: this is a repost of a blog that is posted outside of DU and is not directly pointed at DUers. So the "DU never does this" line is misplaced, because I never said DU did.
Here is the link to one pro-Putin post: http://my.firedoglake.com/seaton/2013/12/22/2013-vladimir-putins-year/
And another describing the phenomenon on the Right: http://www.slate.com/blogs/weigel/2014/02/11/the_conservative_man_crush_on_putin.html
There is a world outside of DU, ya know.

IMO there's nothing "radical" about being a centrist unless you are in a crowd of repukes.

So, go and arrest him, hotshot. And, on the way, grab some of our many war criminals too.

I keep seeing all these references to Putin-love on DU, but I have yet to see the actual love.
